September 27th.
A Year in the Life of the Lord Mayor of London.
We are pleased to reveal that our next speaker is the former
Lord Mayor of the city of London
Sir Nicholas Lyons
He held the role from November 2022 to November 2023 and it was a remarkable year, during which he worked closely with King Charles III, playing an active part in his Accession and Coronation.
Nicholas has worked in the City of London for over 40 years, in insurance and finance, and travelled a great deal as an ambassador for the City, where
he continues to have many roles. He also spends time in North Norfolk where he and his wife have a home.
The talk will start at 7.30pm with doors open from 7.00pm.
Tickets £10 to include a glass of wine or soft drink.
Our members will receive private invitations offering first option to book tickets.
The public box office opens on September 6th.
Tickets must be pre-booked by emailing [email protected].
Please be aware that we are a small group of volunteers and your emails may not be answered immediately.
We have one more event lined up for 2024. Please check back for updates.
****
Our legendary Picnic to Jazz has been put on hold for 2024 due to logistical concerns.
We hope it will be back.
****
We still have a limited number of signed Ronald and Nancy posters which were donated by Roger Law of Spitting Image fame.
